The balance of the tariff quota for duty-free import of electric cars is 181 pcs. SRC

The State Revenue Committee informs that in 2024 as of October 15, the balance of the import tariff quota within the framework of the 0% import duty rate for electric motor vehicles classified under the code of 8703 80 000 2 of the EAEU is 181 items.

Let's remind that in the conditions of the pre-defined quota of 7,400 pieces being exhausted, the RA Government's 10.10.2024 According to decision No. 1589, the import tariff quota was increased by another 600 units, after which 419 vehicles with an electric motor were issued with a privilege in the period from October 11 to 14.

A 0 percent import duty rate has also been set for 2025 for electric motor vehicles for 8,000 vehicles. In order to use the 2025 quota, it will be necessary to submit and register the customs declaration or the customs entry order for the means of transport imported to RA starting from 01.01.2025.
