The Zangezur Corridor can be seen as an important way to strengthen trust in the South Caucasus region.

According to Report, this was stated by Elchin Amirbekov, a spokesman for the Special Assignments of the President of Azerbaijan, addressing the Panel-Diploma Discussion within the Antalya IV Diplomacy.


According to Amirbekov, this "corridor" is one of the elements of the continuous process of normalization of relations between official Baku and Yerevan.


"In addition to its purely commercial importance, I think that the Zangezur corridor can also be seen as an important way to strengthen trust in the region, as it is one of the elements of the current process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Thus, for Armenia, which is in full economic isolation today, this is a good opportunity to make part of the region and raise its strategic importance, "he said.
