German Defense Minister Boris Pressorius has expressed surprise on the reports of significant shortcomings of German military equipment in Ukraine, while the German Armed Forces believe that it "fully reflects" the existing realities on the battlefield, writes the German media.

Earlier, Tagesschau Portal (part of the Ard Media Group) reported the secret transcript of the Deputy Lecturer at the German Embassy in Kiev that military operations found significant shortcomings in almost all German military equipment that affect the effectiveness of their use in the battlefield.

"I was surprised by these reports, as we regularly communicate with our Ukrainian counterparts," Pistorius said at a meeting of Ramstein's contact group on Ukraine's NATO headquarters in Brussels.
