The sitting of the CIS Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs is underway in Almaty. Armenia is represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan.
Before the start of the event, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurllev welcomed the heads of diplomatic missions.
The Russian delegation is headed by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. After the meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers, a separate meeting of the leaders of the Russian-Central Asia Ministries of Foreign Affairs will take place.
