Japan's self-defense forces plans to conduct harness missiles in the summer of 2025 in the Shizunaya Polygon of Russia.
According to NHK, this will be the first such shot in Japan. During the exercise, 88 missiles of land-ship "Yerkir-Ship" will be used.
In the past, the Japanese military had conducted such military exercises, but outside Japan, as their long-range, about 150 km, did not allow the safety of the sea and airspace.
Now it has been decided to conduct exercises with shooting restrictions in Japan.
Japan's Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi has confirmed that such military exercises are currently being discussed, but it has not been decided that all measures will be taken to ensure security and provide information to the local population.
