At the plenary session of the Russian State Duma, the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Iran have reported that TASS reports.
In March, Russian President Vladimir Putin introduced the State Duma to the State Duma. The agreement was signed in January during Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian's visit to Moscow. The document states the legal framework for further development of cooperation between Moscow and Tehran in the long run.
The contract fixes the status of Russia and Iran as strategic partners, and includes all areas, including defense, combat terrorism, energy, financing, transport, industry, agriculture, culture, science and technology.
As Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko stated at the State Duma, the signing of a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Russia and Iran does not envisage the establishment of a military bloc between the two countries.
