The Japanese government has decided to extend sanctions against North Korea for another two years, which include a complete ban on bilateral trade. Secretary General of the Minister of Ministers Yoshimasa Hayashi stated this at a press conference in Tokyo.
"We have made this decision based on our intention, to comprehensively solve the abduction of Japanese citizens, and North Korea's nuclear missile program," he said, as well as the entrance to the Japanese ports of North Korean ships, as well as the Japanese ports to the Japanese ports.
Japanese sanctions against North Korea have been set in 2006 and have been extended until April 2027.
Pyongyan and Tokyo do not have diplomatic relations, and there is no direct transport between them due to Japan.
