US President Donald Trump's administration has mistakenly sent letters to Ukrainian citizens who arrived in the country after the outbreak of the Ukrainian conflict, demanding immediate leaving the United States. This was reported by The Washington Post (WP).
"The time has come to leave the United States," the publication quotes a passage from the letter.
The newspaper writes that the Ukrainians who arrived in the United States for humanitarian remarks have been told that their legal status will expire in seven days, and they must leave the country immediately. WP does not mention how many people have received such letters.
US Department of Internal Security Trisha McLaughlin has confirmed that correspondence was mistaken.
"The letters mistakenly sent some Ukrainians," he said, noting that the humanitarian program continues to act for Ukrainian citizens.
