The Canadian Foreign Minister threatened Russia

Canadian Foreign Minister Melani Jolie stated during a meeting of NATO foreign ministers that Russia should have established a "deadline" on the adoption of a ceasefire in the Ukrainian conflict. The Minister threatened to "consequences" for Russia if he did not agree to the ceasefire.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he agreed to stop hostilities in Ukraine, but this ceasefire should lead to long peace and eliminate the initial reasons for this crisis. Russia has repeatedly stated that they are not interested in freezing the conflict in Ukraine.

According to Joly, the ministers discussed the Ukrainian conflict and "supported the talks" by the United States. The Minister stated that Russia should submit a "clearer position" on the conflict.
