The Miron Camp base of US special operations forces was opened near Krakow Balice International Airport, US Consul General in Krakow Erin Nickerson, who attended the base's opening ceremony, said.
According to him, it is a rotation base for American special operations forces. "It means constant interaction between Polish and American special forces," Nickerson said, adding that there will always be 100-150 American soldiers on rotation at the base.
Miron Camp has become the easternmost base of US special forces in Europe.
