Earthquake 21 km northwest of Jermuk city


On October 12, at 6:17 p.m. local time (at 2:17 p.m. GMT), an earthquake was registered by the seismological network of the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia at the geographical coordinates of 39.89⁰ north latitude and 45.44⁰ east longitude from the city of Jermuk, Armenia. 21 km northwest, 10 km depth of the 2.1 magnitude earthquake.

In the epicentral zone, the strength of the underground shock was 2-3 points. The earthquake was felt in Jermuk, Yeghegnadzor, Artabyunk, Hermon and Aretes villages of Vayots Dzor marz with a strength of 2-3 points.
