Switzerland will take part in the NATO Procurement Program of Patriot Air Defense Systems

The Swiss Federal Council (Government) has approved the participation of the Confederation to support the NATO Partnership Program of Patriot Land Missile Systems (NATPA Patriot SP) to strengthen the country's security and access to land air defense. This is stated in a statement posted on the authorities website.

The NATO Procurement and Support Agency (NSPA) is a leading organization of the Alliance for multinational procurement, support and supply, which is aimed at uniting the interests of European countries using different types of weapons.

Since 1996, the Bern has participated in NSPA partnerships for the support of Amraam missiles and stinger air defense systems. Thus, the Participation in the NSPA PATRIOT SP will be the third partnership of Switzerland within the organization.
