RPA spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov writes. "What did I say to Pashinyan in the heat of the war...
On October 12, 2020, the representatives of the extra-parliamentary forces met with the person holding the position of the RA Prime Minister.
I am publishing my speech from that meeting.
"From the first days of the change of power, the Republican Party has repeatedly spoken about the gross mistakes made by the authorities of Armenia and Azerbaijan in the foreign and security policy of the Artsakh issue.
We have warned that it is not possible to abandon the Madrid principles achieved in the negotiation process, cancel the Vienna and St. Petersburg agreements, set preconditions for the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, make emotional and undercalculated public statements, nullify the entire negotiating legacy and announce the start of the process from a new point, unjustified tension. cause in the relations with our strategic ally, the Russian Federation.
One cannot trust an enemy more than a political opponent. One cannot learn the history of the long-term negotiation process from Aliyev.
In response to that well-argued and self-interested criticism, however, we received unjustified criminal cases, hate speech and state policies aimed at dividing society.
Regardless of these circumstances, from the very first day of the resumption of Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression unleashed against Artsakh, the RPA officially announced that it was freezing the domestic political agenda, called for national consolidation and unity, and stood by our army and the two Armenian republics with all its capabilities.
These days, the Republican Party has done its best on its own initiative, publicly announcing that in the difficult situation, it is ready to solve any problem that the authorities will put before the party. We have tried to establish working relationships with various relevant bodies in order to correctly assess the needs and provide targeted support. Alas, those attempts were not always effective, and we started working and are still working on our own initiatives.
Unfortunately, the atmosphere of national solidarity created in the first days of the war was overshadowed by the statements of the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic of Armenia about the so-called "traitors", the selective application of the law to the mass media under martial law, the divisive propaganda of targeted hatred that resumed with impunity on social networks and individual media, and new criminal cases. , searches, threats.
Summarizing the aforementioned circumstances and facts, I am authorized to officially declare that
1. The entire responsibility for the created situation lies with the current leadership of Armenia and Artsakh.
2. Regardless of that circumstance, the Republican Party is ready to do its utmost to bring our Motherland, Armenia and Artsakh, out of the current difficult situation, to ensure the safety of our people.
Eduard Sharmazanov, member of the General Assembly of the RPA. 12.10.2020. Yerevan, RA Government.
P.S. After reading my speech, I told Nikol Pashinyan to appeal and even ask the Russian President to stop the war.
Later, we learned that on October 19, not the person holding the position of RA Prime Minister, but V. Putin proposed to stop the war.
However, the symbol of the future capitulation did not agree to that proposal, as a result of which we had new territorial losses, including Shushi and thousands of victims.
Moreover. I told Nikol Pashinyan that the previous government left you 2 Armenian states, including the Republic of Artsakh with an area of 12,000 km².
It is better for you to think about what you will leave behind.
What will Nicole leave behind...ruins?
There is no Artsakh, and the future of RA is unclear."
