The United Kingdom and the European Union intend to discuss how to arrest Russian frozen assets to increase joint defense expenses, according to Bloomberg, citing sources.
According to the agency, the discussions will take place on March 18 at the meeting of British Foreign Minister David Lem and EU diplomacy.
The agency's interlocutors said that there was progress, despite the resistance of individual European countries, such as Belgium and Germany, which are concerned that the seizure can violate the principle of state impact and influence the euro exchange rate.
