"When we stand back from ethics, we fall on the same level as our enemy," he said. "The remnants of the fallen regime are looking for the rest of our own violations to hide."
Clashes between supporters of new (Hayat Tahrir al-Sham) and dismissed governments have become the most serious manifestation of violence after the overthrome of Bashar al-Assad in early December.
According to the Syrian Observatory Center for Human Rights, more than 200 people have been killed in the fight, including 120 fighters loyal to Assad, and 93 of the new government forces.
