The Interdepartmental Commission of Russia's participation in the G20, led by svetlana Lukash and G20, discussed the preparations for the summit in the Association and Johannesburg. This was reported by the Kremlin website.
"We have significantly discussed the priorities of the G20 presidency of South Africa, as well as further steps to coordinate Russian approaches in the negotiation process, including economic growth, food security and artificial intelligence acceleration," the statement said.
South Africa presides over February this year. Moscow supported Pretoria's desire to strengthen the G20 as a key international economic cooperation forum.
The Kremlin also shares the desire of South Africa to seek practical solutions, to overcome global challenges and develop effective cooperation mechanisms.
