The Israeli authorities presented to international humanitarian organizations and the relevant UN officials a new program to restore food, medicine and other assistance to the Gaza Strip. The program includes tightening of assistance and distribution control, The Washington Post reported the sources of help.
According to the publication, the new plan allows the Israeli authorities and the army to put the flow of humanitarian aid under their direct control. Only one checkpoint will operate for the import of enclave products
Shalom, which borders the south-east of Gaza, will check every cargo transportation, and then the goods will send logistics centers.
From there, humanitarian aid will only be delivered to distribution points approved by the Israeli authorities. Each delivery will be followed until the final recipient delivery.
