Italian Prime Minister George Meloni has announced that he has rejected the British proposal of France and the European Forces to send it to Ukraine's Italian military contingent in European forces.
"Italy expresses its suspicions about the proposal of European soldiers in France and the British proposal, I am very difficult, I am not sure about its efficiency, so we have said that we will not send Italian soldiers to Ukraine," he said on Monday evening.
Meloni noted that such initiatives arise within the search for solutions when "all those who offer proposals do something useful."
"Lastly, everyone has the same goal, to Ukraine, I would say, final, stable and sustainable peace, therefore the main issue is how to build peace guarantees of Ukraine," he said.
