In the second round of the Abkhazian presidential election, Vice President Badha Gunba defeated the chairman of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic Dmitry Marshan. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
"According to the preliminary calculation of the votes, the presidential candidate Badha Gunba received 54.73% of the vote, and its rival Adgar Arpresses, 41.54%," he said.
Marsha said that 54954 voted in favor of Gunba, and 41708 voters in favor of the Arrubles.
"Thus, in the second round of Badha Gunban received the largest number of votes and was elected President of Abkhazia," he said.
