Negotiations have begun in the Great Hall of the Beijing People's Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu and China President Xi Jinpin, RIA Novosti correspondent said.
According to the Russian Security Council, it is planned to discuss bilateral security issues during the talks, as well as international and regional issues.
Shoigu, graduating from working visit to Indonesia and Malaysia, on Friday, on a one-day visit to Beijing. Earlier, he met with Chinese Foreign Minister Van Yi and said he had visited China after a telephone conversation with Si Jinpin on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
