US President Donald Trump has said he wants to meet with Russia and China to discuss reducing their nuclear arsenals. The American president also expressed hope that there will never be a need for nuclear weapons, TASS reports.
"The meeting that I want to have first of all is a meeting with China and a meeting with Russia, in particular on the issues of slowing down and reducing nuclear weapons," he said.
"We already have so many nuclear weapons. You can destroy the world 50 times, 100 times.
We are producing new nuclear weapons and China is producing nuclear weapons," the American leader continued.
"And we are all spending a lot of money that we could be spending on other things that, hopefully, are much more effective. Hopefully, there will never come a time when we need these weapons," Trump concluded.
