The gas infrastructure in the west of Ukraine is one of Russia's current goals. Ukraine seeks to counter the Russian threat together with Poland, as attacks on Ukraine's gas infrastructure may threaten Europe, according to RBC-Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a telephone conversation with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Zelensky noted that they discussed the situation in Kharkiv and the vital necessity of air defense for the defense of Ukraine.
"One of Russia's goals is the gas infrastructure in the west of Ukraine. Russia's success there will threaten Europe's energy security. To counteract thisMrwe need to find a joint way," the President of Ukraine stated.
Zelensky said that he and Tusk instructed the teams to immediately start work on the text of the bilateral security agreement. "Between historical partners, it should be as ambitious as possible," Zelensky stressed.
