The US Senate Intelligence Committee approved one vote of the candidacy of Toulous Gabard, nominated by US President Donald Trump, the Axios news platform.
Gabardi defended nine senators, eight voted against. According to Axios, Gabard has faced to "brutal issues" during the hearings on his candidacy, including American biological laboratories and Syria in Ukraine.
He was able to provide assistance only after he refused to pardon the former employee of the National Security Agency Edward Snowden and promised to provide information on his foreign travels.
Currently, Gabard's candidacy must be supported by the US Senate.
