The Ministry of Defense proposes to stir sanctions to avoid training gatherings and clarify the role of a military police in the mobilization process. The corresponding project has been published on the joint website of E-DRAFT legal acts.

The current legislation does not clearly define the various forms of avoiding the training camp, as a result of which it is impossible to fully assess the cases of avoiding this process by citizens.

Due to the missing of the law, some citizens use snowful reasons to avoid training gatherings. Evidence of self-violence, simulation of diseases, falsification of documents or other deception methods are especially prevalent.

The current legislation is relatively mild, which allows you to avoid punishment using the above-mentioned methods.

Military Police Powers Need to Clarify Against Military Involvement Inception Either avoiding medical examination, avoiding any other way to inflict bodily injury, or by simulation of illness or other ways of deception, a fine, short-term imprisonment (up to 2 months) or imprisonment (up to 2 months) year).

If the avoidance has been done to cause bodily injury, falsifying illness or documents, punishment can be sentenced to 2-5 years in prison. These changes will allow to tighten responsibility and reduce cases of avoidance of mobilization conscription.

The project proposes to increase the involvement of military police in the military collection process, ensuring effective control over the organization of conscription and training camps.
