The 38-year-old Salewa Momik, who organized events related to the combustion of the Qur'an, was found in Syodertye, south of Stockholm. This was reported by the SVT TV channel. According to the sources of the TV channel, the activist was found dead in his house. Gunshot wounds were found on a man's body.
However, there has been no official confirmation of Momik's death yet. The Stockholm Regional Court should have condemned him to "provoking hatred on the grounds of nationality." But the verdict was postponed due to "confirming the death of one of the defendants." The police have not yet commented on the incident or the identities of the deceased.
According to SVT, security service is involved in the case. Several people were detained. The crime scene is blocked. Search works are being carried out near the apartment building.
