The Azerbaijani media reports that the Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Commander of the Ground Forces, General Hikmat Mirzoev, who is on a visit to Turkey, met with the Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, General Metin Gurak.
"During the meeting, Army General Metin Gyurak emphasized the positive impact of friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey on the development of military cooperation, expressing confidence in the further expansion of joint operations.
The Deputy Minister of Defense thanked for the hospitality and shared the positive impressions he received from the meetings during the visit.
At the meeting, a thorough exchange of ideas took place on the perspectives of cooperation in the military, military-technical, military-educational and other fields, as well as on issues of mutual interest," the message said.
