In the next session of February 11-14, the Armenian parliament will discuss the bill on starting the EU membership process. Movses Harutyunyan, the press secretary of the Speaker of the Parliament, informed TASS about this.
"The bill on starting the accession process of the Republic of Armenia to the European Union will most likely be included in the parliament's agenda during the February 11-14 session," he said.
It is expected that today the relevant parliamentary committee will discuss the project and include it in the main agenda of the legislative body.
On January 9, the RA government approved the draft decision on the start of the EU membership process, now it will be discussed by the parliament.
The Prime Minister of the Republic, Nikol Pashinyan, noted that this will not mean the automatic joining of Yerevan to the community, as this issue requires a referendum.
