IAEA General Director Rafael Grossi has announced that he intends to visit Russia and Ukraine in the next few weeks, Reuters reports.
As the agency notes, the Director General of the IAEA "will visit Russia and Ukraine in the next few weeks".
According to the agency, Grossi said that the IAEA is concerned about military activity in the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant area.
ZNPP is located on the left bank of the Dnieper, near the city of Energodar. This is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe in terms of number of units and installed capacity, the plant has six power units with a capacity of 1 gigawatt. In October 2022, the nuclear power plant
became the property of the Russian Federation.
IAEA experts have been at the Zaporozhye NPP since September 1, 2022, after the Agency's Director General's first visit to the nuclear power plant.
