A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 occurred in Taiwan, reports the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).
According to the center, the tremors were recorded 50 kilometers northeast of the city of Taiwan. According to scientists, the source was located at a depth of 18 kilometers. As CNA reports, 26 people were injured as a result of the earthquake, and about 50 residents were isolated in their homes.
As a result of one natural phenomenon, other earthquakes passed through the surrounding area.
According to Euromedia24, the Central Meteorological Administration (CWA) reported a 6.4-magnitude earthquake in the Chaiya region of southern Taiwan.
