Early voting for presidential elections has begun in Belarus

Early voting for the presidential elections in Belarus has started in more than 5,100 polling stations located in the republic.

"The electoral system should be aimed at creating the most optimal conditions, so that any citizen can come and exercise his right to vote," CEC President Igor Karpenko said on the STV channel.

According to the CEC, the polling stations will work from 12:00 to 19:00 without a lunch break. "Official confirmation as to why the voter cannot vote on the day of the main election is not required," the commission explained.

CEC explained that if the voter made a mistake while filling out the ballot or spoiled the ballot, he can contact the members of the precinct committee and get a new ballot.
