In Navoi region, a 15-year-old schoolboy fatally ran over a traffic police officer and ran away, according to Euromedia24.com, Uzbek media reports citing the regional traffic police.
According to the media, the incident took place on December 19, at 01:45, on Islam Karimov Navoi Street. The traffic police inspector tried to stop a Kia Sonet car without license plates. However, the driver did not stop, went out into the opposite lane and hit the inspector.
After that, he ran away from the scene. The law enforcement officer died on the spot from his injuries. Later it turned out that the Kia Sonet was driven by a 15-year-old teenager, and the car belonged to his father. The car was quickly found and taken to the penalty area.
