On January 19, at 19:00, the National Center for Crisis Management was alerted that a grassy area was burning in the village of Dzorastan, Syunik region.
Six combat units from the fire-rescue squads of the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs went to the scene. The fire was isolated at 22:11 and extinguished at 23:15.
About 15 ha of vegetation was burned.
Rescuers prevented the fire from spreading to the nearby forest and Dzorastan village.
29 rescue workers, 2 forestry workers and 5 eco-patrol service workers took part in the fire fighting.
