The press office of the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran has provided details about the armed attack that took place near the headquarters of the Supreme Court in Tehran, IRNA reports, referring to the statement issued by the press office of the judiciary of Iran. The statement states that the victim of the armed attack Hojatholeslam Ali Razini and Hojatholeslam Mohammad Mokiseh became the head of the 39th branch of the Supreme Court and the head of the 53rd branch.
"This morning at the Supreme Court, an armed infiltrator carried out a premeditated assassination (conspiracy) of two courageous judges with a long history of national security, espionage and counter-terrorism," the statement said.
It is noted that according to preliminary findings, the person who committed the attack was not involved in any lawsuit in the Supreme Court, nor was he a client of the court's branches.
"Immediately after the terrorist attack, an attempt was made to arrest the armed person, who then committed suicide," the message says. The judiciary also said that an investigation has been launched to identify and arrest those behind the murder.
