On January 17, Armenian Ambassador to France Arman Khachatryan met Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo. This was reported by the RA Embassy in France.
"During the meeting, Ambassador Khachatryan expressed his gratitude to the mayor of Paris for his constant attention to issues related to Armenia, exceptional solidarity and continuous support to the Armenian people. The Ambassador of Armenia highly appreciated the unanimous adoption of a number of resolutions in favor of Armenia and the Armenian people by the Paris City Council at the initiative of Anne Hidalgo, Mayor Hidalgo's visits to Armenia during an important period for the Armenian people, as well as the latter's many public initiatives.
Mayor Hidalgo reaffirmed his and the Paris City Council's commitment to strengthening Armenian-French friendship and the development of relations between Armenia and France. He emphasized that the city of Paris will always stand by Armenia and the Armenian people.
Reference was made to recent developments in the South Caucasus, Armenian-French decentralized cooperation, programs aimed at expanding Yerevan-Paris long-term cooperation, and other issues of bilateral interest," the post said.
