TV presenter Yuri Nikolaev was taken to the intensive care unit with a hip fracture after his vacation. The 76-year-old showman slipped and fell at home and broke his hip.
As reported by Euromedia24.com with reference to Russian sources, the man was taken to the hospital by an ambulance, and an emergency operation was performed in the hospital. Due to his age and weakness, Nikolaev spent two days in the intensive care unit.
Now he is recuperating in a regular ward, plus he is undergoing a course of cancer treatment. Nikolaev has lung cancer and "Long-term smoking experience".
Also in November, Yuri Alexandrovich fell at home and was hit on the head twice. At the same time, doctors forbade him to smoke, he used to smoke 50 cigarettes a day.
