"The letter stating that Russia cannot guarantee the safe use of its airspace is a cynical and blatant lie. It is a political order," the department's publication says.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation noted that it is a simple lie intended for an emotional reaction.
"The authors of the forgery did not even bother to give it official attributes, sending it from an ordinary postal domain and an ordinary e-mail address," the publication states.
