The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, called on Sunday to cancel the sanctions against Syria. Al-Ekhbariya TV channel informs about this.
"We emphasized the importance of lifting the unilateral and international sanctions applied to Syria, because their continuation hinders the aspirations of the Syrian people to achieve development and rehabilitation," he said.
The Saudi foreign minister also called for continued humanitarian and economic support to Syria and emphasized the importance of respecting the country's unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
