Turkey has firmly rejected a proposal to deploy French troops along the border with Syria to create a security zone aimed at easing tensions with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which Ankara considers a terrorist organization, writes MEE.
"Some small European countries involved in US-led military operations in Syria are trying to advance their interests by talking about certain issues, but this does not bring any real benefit to them and the region," Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said.
At a press conference held in Istanbul on Friday. "We do not communicate with countries that try to hide behind American power, advancing their interests," he said.
