Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the military to present a plan for the complete destruction of the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, if the Israeli hostages are not released before the inauguration of the newly elected US President Donald Trump.


"If the deal to release the hostages does not take place before President Trump takes office, it is necessary to ensure the complete defeat of Hamas in Gaza," Katz said during a meeting with high-ranking military officials.


Katz instructed the chief of staff of the Israeli army to present the plan for the complete destruction of Hamas.
