The Kremlin answered the question about Putin's meeting with Trump

No special conditions are required for the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the newly elected US President Donald Trump, except for the desire of both parties. Dmitry Peskov, the official representative of the Kremlin, said this in a briefing, answering the journalists' question, writes Gazeta.

"The president has repeatedly stated that he is open to contacts with international leaders, including Donald Trump. No conditions are required for this, mutual desire and political will to hold a dialogue is required," said Peskov.

According to the press secretary of the president, Russia welcomes Trump's words about the desire to negotiate and suggests that "some movement" will begin after the politician enters the Oval Office. On January 10, as we reported, Trump announced that Putin was interested in meeting his and its preparation is already underway.

The topic will be the cessation of the conflict in Ukraine, but the negotiations will take place only after his inauguration on January 20. The Russian President previously announced his readiness for the meeting, but did not specify the dates.
