The US needs Greenland "to protect the free world". Trump

The newly elected US President Donald Trump believes that Denmark should give up Greenland in favor of the United States, as it is necessary to protect the national interests of Washington, we learn from the "Interfax" agency.

"People don't even know if Denmark has legal rights to Greenland, but if they do, Denmark should give up those rights because we need Greenland to ensure national security, to protect the free world," Donald Trump said.

According to Trump, Chinese and Russian ships regularly circle the island and "you don't even need binoculars" to see them from shore.

Earlier, the newly elected president already expressed his intention to make Greenland a part of the USA.
