US President Joe Biden's administration wants the negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement on a ceasefire and the return of hostages to be completed within the next two weeks.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced this at a press conference held in Seoul after talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.TASS reports.
"We would really like to see the finish line crossed in the next two weeks, in the time we have left," Blinken said when asked if a ceasefire in the Middle East was imminent.
"If the finish line is not crossed in two weeks, I'm sure they will be finished one day, sooner rather than later," Blinken added.
