Federal investigators searched the home of the man responsible for a deadly truck attack on New Orleans' Bourbon Street and found bomb-making materials, law enforcement officials said Friday.
Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old citizen from Texas, USA, lived in Houston. It's unclear what materials investigators found in Houston's home.
They inventoried the materials and returned the home to the owner. "During the search, chemicals, filters, thermometers and many other items used in the manufacture of improvised explosive devices were found," said a CBS law enforcement officer and the Bomb Squad. by Richard Esposito.
He added that precursor chemicals found in the home included some used to make powerful explosives.
