Israel has spoken about carrying out a special targeted operation in the depths of Syria

The Israeli army declassified the information about the sabotage operation deep in the Syrian territory. Its target was an underground facility near the town of Masyaf in Hama province in western Syria, where precision-guided missiles were produced, the press service of the army reports.

According to the statement, the operation was carried out on September 8, 2024 by soldiers of the Shaldagh Special Forces with the support of the Israeli Air Force and Navy.

"The target of the attack was the underground complex located in Syria, which was financed and supported by Iran.
The complex was a primary program for Iran in its efforts to arm its terrorist satellites on Israel's northern border,” the report said.

The complex contained modern assembly lines designed for the production of precision-guided missiles and long-range missiles, which significantly increased the supply of missiles to the armed forces of the Shiite organization Hezbollah and other Iranian allies in the region, the Israeli military said.
