The United Nations has called for the restoration of Al Jazeera's work in the Palestinian territories

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) called on the Palestinian National Authority to restore the work of Al Jazeera and fulfill its obligations under international law.

"We are deeply concerned that the PNA has suspended the work of Al Jazeera and its journalists in the West Bank. We call on the PNA to change course and fulfill its obligations under international law," the UN OHCHR said in a statement.

It was reported earlier that Palestine stops the broadcasting of the Qatari Al Jazeera TV channel.

Recently, the TV channel has been actively covering the clashes between the security forces of the Palestinian Authority and the supporters of radical Palestinian movements.
