The Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fizo, was injured during an assassination attempt, and if he does not stand up for a long time, he may be temporarily replaced by one of the country's deputy prime ministers. Dennik N periodical reported the possible replacement options.
According to the newspaper, there are currently four deputy prime ministers in the Slovak government. It is assumed that the duties of the head of the government can be temporarily taken over by the Minister of Defense, Robert Kaliniak, because both he and Fitzo are members of the "Smer" party.
The international community, including the leaders of the US, NATO, and the EU, condemned the assassination attempt.
