The WHO said it does not know if the head of the organization will be able to leave Yemen

The World Health Organization (WHO) still does not know whether the head of the organization, Tedros Ghebreyesus, will be able to leave Yemen after the Israeli attack on his plane at Sana'a airport on Thursday, the organization's press service told RIA Novosti.

Earlier on Thursday, the head of the WHO said that the airstrike damaged a building located a few meters away from the plane at Yemen's Sana'a airport, where he was with the UN delegation. One crew member was injured.

"We will inform you when we know more," the press service answered the question of whether the head of the WTO will be able to leave Yemen on Thursday.

On the X social network, Ghebreyesus wrote that they should wait until the damage to the airport is repaired, after which only the UN delegation can leave.
