The President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, as well as the situation in Syria after the change of power. This is stated in the statement, the text of which was published by the Emirati news agency WAM.
During the meeting held in Abu Dhabi, the UAE President and the Turkish Foreign Minister discussed the situation in the Middle East, emphasizing the need to intensify efforts to prevent the expansion of the conflict in the region, which threatens its safety and security.
The parties also referred to the situation in Syria, pointing out "the firm position of both countries regarding the stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the republic".
At the end of November, the armed opposition groups launched a large-scale attack against the positions of the Syrian army.
