The ruling Shiite military-political movement "Ansar Allah" (Houthis) in the north of Yemen has announced that it has successfully hit a military target in the Tel Aviv region with a "Palestine-2" hypersonic missile, RIA Novosti reports.
On the morning of December 25, the correspondent of "RIA Novosti" reported that air warning signals were activated in the center of Israel, including in Ramla, due to a missile launched from Yemen. The Israeli military said the rocket was intercepted before it crossed into Israeli territory, and horns were turned on possible falling debris.
"The missile forces of the Yemeni armed forces hit the Israeli enemy's military target in the occupied Jaffa (Tel Aviv) with a "Palestine-2" hypersonic ballistic missile. The objectives of the operation have been achieved," said Yahya Saria, the military representative of the Houthis. The tension between the Houthis and Israel in recent weeks has reached a new level.
The Houthis have begun sending missiles and drones into Israel on an almost daily basis, threatening a proportionate response to any bombing in Yemen.
