The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, arrived in St. Petersburg on a working visit to participate in the CIS and Eurasian Economic Union summits.
According to the BelTA agency, the plane of the head of state landed at Pulkovo International Airport in St. Petersburg.
The traditional informal meeting of the leaders of the CIS member states will take place on December 25 in the vicinity of St. Petersburg, in the territory of the all-season resort "Igora". The participants of the summit will summarize the results of the year and discuss the prospects of integration cooperation.
On December 26, Lukashenko will also participate in the session of the Eurasian Economic Council. It is assumed that during the meeting, the president will mention the goals and priorities of Belarus' presidency in EAEU in 2025.
